There are many jobs and industries where solid math knowledge can make a big difference. Learning to use math for practical use in your career can help you earn more money, be a better candidate for leadership positions, and even help you start your own business.

How to enroll in math courses

You can also enroll in your eligible math course by contacting Admissions to schedule.

Complete the Online Admissions Form

Skip this step if you are a previous student who has been gone for less than 6 months or has already filled out an application recently. To return to complete your current application, log in.

Visit or Contact the Admissions Office

After you’ve done all the steps in the admissions process, contact Admissions to register and get your schedule. You can walk in, call, email, or schedule an appointment.

Complete Your Placement Testing (If needed)

Testing is not needed for Math 950. Before enrolling, students may attempt to place into MATH0990 or MATH1010 by taking a once-only placement assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I don’t complete before the course ends?

Students who do not complete the allotted time will have to re-pay for the course in full.

Math help is available to all current OTECH students. Simply stop by the math classroom during open hours or schedule an appointment by calling 801-627-8375 or emailing ken.choi@otech.edu. Virtual and phone appointments are also available.

Since math prerequisites expire after two years, you must apply for admission to Weber State University and enroll for a minimum of one class within two years of completing the OTECH math course approved for credit.

As a high school student, you do not pay tuition for classes. All you pay is an annual $70 supply fee.
