Tuition & Cost Breakdown

OTECH is committed to keeping education affordable and easy to understand. We work hard to keep costs low and we do not charge any fees. We want you to know what to expect. This page shows tuition and basic costs, and each program page lists any materials you may need. There are no hidden fees and no surprise charges.

  • Tuition for adult students is charged before each course begins.
  • Tuition rate is $100.00 per credit hour.
  • High school students do not pay tuition.
  • Tuition payments are made through your student portal.
  • Materials and costs are available on each program page.

High School Tuition

High school students are not charged tuition. High school students are required to pay for program materials.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Tuition does not cover the cost of materials.

  • To remain enrolled, tuition must be paid by 10:00 p.m. on the first day of the course.
  • Students with unpaid tuition balances will be dropped from their course.
  • If you are using financial aid or sponsorship, make sure all steps are completed and payment is issued before the deadline.
  • OTECH is unable to follow up with sponsors for students.
  • A full-time student attempts 30 credits per academic year (30 weeks) or 1 credit per week.
  • A part-time student attempts 15 credits per academic year (30 weeks) or 1 credit every two weeks.
Disclosure of Tuition

A full-time student at OTECH, enrolled in 30 credits per academic year, currently pays $3,000 in tuition per year. This covers about 6% of the total cost of approximately $19,564 per student for providing instruction. The remaining $16,564 is funded by state tax dollars.

Tuition refunds, when due, will be made in accordance with the school’s tuition refund policy 530.9. Tuition will also be refunded in full for any courses canceled by the college. Tuition refunds, when due, are made without requiring a request from the student. Tuition refunds are made within 45 days from the date written notification has been provided to the college by the student or from the date the college terminates or determines withdrawal by the student.
