The Giving Season

“From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.”
– Arthur Ashe

The end of the year is a time for reflection—what have I done? And more importantly, what can I do? Fortunately for the college, we have donors who give generously to our Scholarship Fund so that students have an opportunity to learn skills that will help them make a life and a living.

Says Sarina: “I feel like there is hope for me to finally meet my goals. I feel like I can change my life as well as the lives of other. There is light at the end of my tunnel.”

Jessica notes: “I was a stay-at-home mom for 16 years. I found myself divorced and needed to figure out what I was going to do with my life. I am so very grateful to have this scholarship!”

And Jordan commented: “I was elated. I don’t usually get things like this. I have worked my entire life, and the only award I have really received is my paycheck. To see that someone saw me and decided I was worth investing in was a great feeling.”
