On November 14, 2018, the Utah State Senate took action to confirm the appointment of Kori Ann Edwards to the Ogden-Weber Technical College Board of Directors representing business/industry. Her term will expire December 31, 2022.
Ms. Edwards is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Logistic Specialties, Inc. (LSI). As a corporate officer, she has been serving on the Board of Directors of LSI since 2000. As the COO, Ms. Edwards is responsible for contract and engagement delivery within LSI and its 15 subsidiaries and all shared services functions. As part of key management for the past 18 years, she has assisted in the exponential growth of LSI from its core competency–providing business development services at Department of Defense (DoD) logistic centers–to a full spectrum of economic development and logistics support.
Ms. Edwards has supported numerous successful Utah initiatives including funding of the Military Installation Partnership, establishment of the Procurement Assistance Program, which has helped generate over $4B in contract revenue to date and the Utah Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Initiative (UAMMI). She is also a founding member of the Northern Utah Chamber Coalition (NUCC). In February 2016, Ms. Edwards was asked to serve as the Co-Vice Chair of the new formed Aerospace States Association (ASA), Utah Chapter, chaired by Lt. Governor.
