…so you can be there for others. Students enroll at the college for a variety of reasons—better job opportunities, promotions, or to change their career path. However, many people seek education as a way to give back to their community.
Brayden is a student in the Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and was recently awarded a scholarship. He was ecstatic, stating, “When I got the email, I was driving around with my father. When I opened the email, and it said approved, I pulled over to the side of the road and started to cry. My dream had just become a reality.”
Brayden wants to find employment in healthcare, but more importantly, he wants to help others. “I am a hardworking person who has a passion for helping people. I love getting the change to make other’s lives easier. I was recently hospitalized for five days and was able to see firsthand what CNAs do. They helped me realize that I needed to be in the health field.”
The college is committed to helping one student at a time, and in many cases, that student will assist many others over his or her lifetime. Many thanks to the following individuals, organizations, and foundations who help students of today become the workforce of tomorrow.
