Time of Giving

The third quarter of the year ends as we head into the season when thoughts turn to helping others and giving gifts to those we care about.

The college’s donors support fundraising campaigns during targeted months of the year but also donate throughout the year to ensure students are successful.

Need a scholarship? Donors have your back. They donate funds for annual scholarships as well as endowments that will help students far into the future. Current students have enough stress without having to worry about paying tuition. Kadyn, a student in Non-Destructive Inspection, shares a common story. “The scholarship will help me because it relieves a great deal of burden when thinking about paying for my school,” he said. “I don’t think I could’ve done what I am doing without the funding.”

Finished a program but can’t pay for costs associated with licensure or certification? Donors are there to help students reach their goals. Students work hard to complete their programs, so the college has worked with donors to ensure licensure and certification aren’t barriers to employment. Christian, an Information Technology student, said, “This funding will help me secure my future in a career I am personally interested in—not just another job!”

Does the equipment I’m learning on use the latest technology? Of course! Over 300 employers serve on advisory committees and provide feedback on curriculum, equipment, classrooms, and labs to ensure students are learning in-demand skills. Employers also donate materials, supplies, and equipment to support programs training future workers.

Many thanks to the donors who give in any form, at any time, and for any reason. The following gifts were received in the third quarter of 2022:
