Notice of Hearing on Ogden-Weber Technical College Tuition

Ogden-Weber Technical College is transitioning from clock hours to credit hours to adhere to and align with Utah System of Higher Education policies.

Fees have been converted into the tuition rate to maintain revenue neutrality. In other words, overall costs for students will not substantively change. Students already enrolled in existing clock hour programs will continue under the existing $2 per clock hour tuition rate with a general fee through next year. New students will enroll with the new credit hour model and will be converted to a $95.00 per credit hour tuition rate with no general fee.

All programs are converting to a pay up-front, per course, model per the respective costs above for credit hour or clock hour. The monthly charge and schedule drop model will be eliminated.

Ogden-Weber Technical College, under the direction of Utah System of Higher Education (USHE), is holding a hearing to discuss the changes. The changes would become effective July 1, 2023, if approved.

In accordance with Utah Code Section 53B-7-101.5, all concerned students and citizens are invited to a public hearing on the proposed change to be held in Cross Hall in the Health Technology Building on February 16, 2023, at 11:30 a.m.
