We are thrilled to announce our newest OTECH Student of the Year, Tania Rodriguez! Tania is an alumna of our culinary program and a proud scholarship recipient. In addition to running her successful food truck, Los Churros del Norte, she has also been an active volunteer with the Red Cross.
Tania’s OTECH journey began with a search for her true passion. She explored various programs before finding her calling in culinary arts and her passion for serving the community. During her time in the program, Tania not only honed her culinary skills but also served as a mentor and source of support to her peers.
However, financial hardship threatened to derail Tania’s dreams of completing the program and providing a better future for her family. She approached OTECH’s financial aid office, where she was presented with the opportunity to apply for a scholarship. Thanks to this timely assistance, Tania was able to complete the program and get back on the path to success.
Tania’s story is not unique at OTECH, where students from all walks of life come to learn valuable skills and improve their lives and communities. Our foundation is proud to serve the people of Weber County and surrounding areas, providing the best possible opportunities to prepare our students for success in the workforce.
