COVID Testing

We are no longer offering on-campus COVID-19 testing. Visit coronavirus.utah.gov for alternate testing locations.

COVID-19 Tests are Being Conducted in Room 128 in the Barker Health Technology Building

Each test is a quick, shallow nasal swab and results are available the same day. Tests are administered at the Barker Health Technology Building in room 128. Appointments are available on the following days:

  • Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome during those hours, or you can sign up for an appointment.

Anyone experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 should arrange for testing through the health department or their physician. Do not come to the on-campus testing facility if you feel ill or have any COVID-19 symptoms.

By law, we are required to report all COVID-19 test results to the health department. Otherwise, your information will remain confidential.

Questions & Answers

What if I have already had COVID-19?

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, you do not need to be tested again for 90 days unless you develop symptoms. If you are still within the 90-day window since your positive test, you do not need to participate in on-campus testing.

What if I have already received a COVID-19 Vaccine?

Everyone is welcome to participate in on-campus testing. We especially encourage those who aren’t vaccinated yet to test weekly.

What about high school students?

High school students are welcome to participate in on-campus testing. Those under 18 will need parental consent.

What if I only take classes online?

Students who do not come to campus have the option to come in and test if they would like.

What if I currently have symptoms or may have been exposed to COVID-19?

If you are experiencing symptoms or think you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, arrange for testing through the health department or your physician. Do not come to the on-campus testing facility if you feel ill or have any COVID-19 symptoms.

Can I use this test to come back early from quarantine?

Based on the latest CDC guidelines, those who have been exposed to COVID-19 may return to campus on day 7 of quarantine with a negative test result and no symptoms of COVID-19. Note, the negative test must have been performed on or after day 7 of quarantine. Students and staff with no symptoms may use our on-campus testing to satisfy this requirement.
