Leave of Absence

Students may take a leave of absence without completely withdrawing from Ogden-Weber Technical College. During a leave of absence:

  • Students are provided three one-week leave of absences (LOA) per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • LOA’s start on Monday and end on Friday.
  • Students are not charged tuition during an LOA.
  • Most programs allow a LOA.
  • If this Leave of Absence is related to a pregnancy, please contact the Title IX Coordinator at titleix@otech.edu to understand your rights to pregnancy related accommodations and protections prior to submitting this form.
  • Contact your student support specialist for questions about emergency or special situations.

How to take a leave of absence

  1. Fill out a leave of absence form either in Admissions or online here →
  2. Notify your instructor(s)
  3. Receive approval from your sponsors or high school (if applicable)

The leave of absence form must be processed through Admissions.
