Employer Sponsored Apprenticeship

The Electrical Apprenticeship and Plumbing Apprenticeship programs are for working electrician and plumber apprentices. These programs provide the required classroom and lab instruction while apprentices receive on-the-job training through their employers. Employers can sponsor their employees through the program and may qualify for Custom Fit funding to offset the cost.

Custom Fit is a legislative program that returns a portion of a company’s tax dollars back to them by reimbursing training costs. The Custom Fit department at Ogden-Weber Technical College assists Weber County for-profit businesses in accessing these funds. Up to 40% of training costs may be reimbursed.

  1. Confirm that your company is sponsoring your College program and has submitted the Sponsor Voucher.
  2. Enroll by calling 801-621-8321, or visit the Admissions office at Main Campus. Identify that you are being sponsored by your employer.

  4. Set your schedule and attend classes! If you need to make a schedule change, contact Admissions.
