Resources

  • Admissions Application: An Admission Application must be fully completed before testing. Please visit this link to start or resume yours now. Please note a $45 enrollment fee must be paid before you enroll. You may pay this fee at the following locations:
    • Through your student portal with a debit/credit card, or in the Fiscal Office in the College Services building.
  • Program Admissions Requirements: Please view our program admission requirements to see if you need to test. There are other documents that may qualify you for your desired program.
  • Admissions Advisors: If you would like to speak with someone in Spanish, or have questions regarding a program, visit this link to contact your advisor.
  • Request ADA Accommodations: Ogden-Weber Technical College seeks to provide an environment that supports students with disabilities with equal access to technical education. OTECH Testing

  • Course Testing: Students must schedule their exam through their CANVAS portal.
    • Depending on your exam, you must check in to the testing center 1 or 2 hours before closing.
    • Students must know their Canvas/Vendor login credentials and the specific test they need to take.
    • Test proctors are not responsible for course specifics. Course-specific questions should be directed to the appropriate instructors.
    • All course testers must have an unexpired OTECH student ID or an unexpired government-issued ID.
  • Admissions Testing: Candidates must schedule admission testing using the designated scheduling system below. Candidates must check in 1 hour before closing to test.

Retest Policies

Reading – Admissions

  • Initial Test taken
  • 1st re-take – 24 hour wait
  • 2nd re-take – two week wait, with a $15 proctor fee
  • 3rd re-take – one month wait (max of 4 tests in 4 weeks) with a $15 proctor fee
  • Continue to have the ability to test at one-month intervals with a $15 proctor fee

If the student has not taken a reading test with us for one full year, they start back with an initial test and are not charged a proctor fee for the first two tests.

Math I – Admissions (Pharmacy only)

  • Initial Test taken
  • 1st and 2nd retake – allowed anytime within the first month (not more than once a day and a max of 3 tests in 4 weeks) – With a $15 proctor fee on the 2nd re-take
  • 3rd re-take – one month from 2nd test, with a $15 proctor fee
  • Continue to have the ability to test at one-month intervals with a $15 proctor fee

If the student has not taken a math test with us for one full year, they start back with an initial test and are not charged a proctor fee for the first two tests.

Outside Testing

  • ASE: All exams are registered, scheduled, and paid for through ASE.
  • Certiport/MOS: Call the testing center to schedule an appointment. You must create a Certiport account and have your login credentials to test. A $15 proctor fee is due at the time of testing.
  • Meazure Learning: Go to meazurelearning.com to schedule an appointment.
  • ParaPro: Call the testing center to schedule an appointment. There is a $70 test fee to be paid before testing.
  • Pearson Vue: All exams must be scheduled and paid for through pearsonvue.com. Please come prepared with your exam’s specific ID requirements, required documents (if applicable), and approved materials.
  • Pesticide: Call the testing center to schedule an appointment. A license must be purchased from the Utah Department of Agriculture. Candidates must create a testing account and select their required exams. Proof of your license fee payment, ID, and a $15 proctor fee are required to test (debit/credit card only). Failure to provide these required documents will result in a cancelation of your appointment.
  • Prov: All exams must be scheduled and paid for through provexam.com. Come prepared with your exam-specific ID requirements and approved materials.
  • RMGA: Call the testing center to schedule. A test voucher must be purchased through Rocky Mountain Gas Association to be eligible to test. The printed voucher, ID, and a $15 proctor fee are required to test (debit/credit card only). All test materials and RMGA booklets are provided. Outside materials are not allowed.
  • Utah Nursing Assistant Registry: For information about scheduling the Nursing Assistant Certification test please visit ut.tmutest.com.
    • Both knowledge and skills exams check in at the testing center.
    • Must provide an unexpired government-issued ID.
    • Must wear scrubs for the skills exam.
  • Outside College Proctoring: Call the testing center to schedule. The Ogden-Weber Technical College will need to be approved as a testing proctor by the outside college before testing. Test processes will vary based on the exam. A $15 proctor fee will be due at the time of testing (debit/credit card only).

Identification Policy for All Candidates

  • All candidates must provide an unexpired government-issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Visa).
  • The name on the ID must match the name registered for the exam.
  • Failure to provide the correct matching ID will result in rescheduling and potential loss of testing fees.

What are the hours of operation?

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Fridays: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Appointments begin at 8:30 a.m. No testing will begin after 7:00 p.m.

What are the Identification requirements?

All testing REQUIRES a valid form of ID

OTECH Students
Student ID for all course testing only

How do I submit transcripts in place of testing?

All alternative documentation or external testing must be attached to your admission application. Please allow up to two business days for approval. Documents MUST have identifiable information (full name AND date of birth or social security number). Documents without identifiable information will be denied. Please contact the testing center with any questions.

What is the locker policy?

The Ogden-Weber Technical College Testing Center offers lockers to keep personal items in while testing. Keys are kept with the candidate until the exam is finished. Please remember that the Testing Center staff is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

I passed my admission exam. What is next?

Once you have passed your admission exam, you are now eligible to enroll in your program. Contact the admissions office at 801-627-8463 to schedule an appointment.

Ogden-Weber Technical College Testing Center supports the college’s educational mission by providing college admission assessments and professional certification testing to students and other examinees in a professional, secure, and accessible environment. All tests are administered with high quality customer service under standard conditions that are efficient, fair, and secure. We adhere to the National College Testing Association’s (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.
