Students who are seeking a program certificate will schedule to attend as either full time or part time, except for programs with limited scheduling. Students who have been out of school for six months or more shall be required to upgrade their assigned certificate to the current version. Students who are seeking a program certificate may be required to move to an available program training plan if they have not completed their program certificate within three years from initial enrollment, which may make some of their previously completed classes obsolete. (OTECH policy 530.7, Admissions, Schedule Reactivation, and Withdrawals)
Upon completion of all certificate requirements, students must meet with their program advisor to verify completion. The program advisor will then enter the completion in the electronic student system. The registrar will review the completion, end the student’s schedule, and withdraw him or her from the college. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of a program. The certificate will be mailed to the last listed address for the student within 2 to 4 weeks. To help ensure this process takes place without error, please make sure that Student Records has your correct address. Certificates and official transcripts will not be issued with outstanding charges owed.
