Are you unemployed, underemployed, or seeking a new opportunity? OTECH is excited to offer scholarship opportunities through the Learn & Work In Utah program to train you with the skills you need to create a bright future for you and your loved ones. This opportunity offers adult students the chance to enroll and complete employment-ready programs and will cover tuition, class fees, and supplies


Eligible Program(s)

Nursing Assistant

  • There are 90 spots available as of October 7, 2022
  • The application will remain open until all spots are filled or the deadline is reached
  • Must have first day of class by June 5, 2023
  • Last enrollment date is May 18, 2023
  • 8 weeks, 15 hours per week, 5 days a week
  • Tuition, class fees, and supplies covered

Registration

  • The scholarship must officially be accepted by the date listed in the award email or the scholarship will be awarded to another applicant.
  • Scholarship recipients will need to report on their job placement(s) during or after their OTECH enrollment including date(s) of hire, employer name and location, and job title(s)
  • All applicants will be notified of scholarship award or denial by email. Check your email often!

Eligibility Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or non-citizen with resident card or a non-U.S. citizen with a Utah high school diploma (Documentation will be required during the scholarship acceptance step if awarded)
  • Be enrolled in one of the eligible programs
  • Be scheduled for 15 or more hours a week
  • Maintain progress and attendance standards set by chosen program


Additional information: It is beneficial for ALL OTECH STUDENTS to apply for Federal Aid funding at www.fafsa.gov as you may be eligible for the Pell Grant, supplemental grants, and Federal Work Study opportunities.
