Practical nurses work in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health and hospice. Working under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, licensed practical nurses perform patient assessments, administer medications, perform sterile and non-sterile procedures, assist patients with their personal hygiene, mobility, and nutritional and elimination needs.
Train for a career in healthcare with our Practical Nursing program. You will gain essential nursing skills through classroom instruction, lab, simulations, and clinical practice. Graduates are prepared to take the NCLEX-PN exam and work as a Licensed Practical Nurse, with the option to pursue further education toward becoming a Registered Nurse.
